Phase 1 — Get your festival master list
Run this in a new Claude chat (web search enabled) to find new festivals. The prompt auto-excludes any festivals already in your tracker.
Import festival list from Google Sheets
Your master sheet columns: Festival Name · City · State · Approx Dates · Year Founded · Years Running · Est. Annual Attendance · Presenting Org · Website · Clout Score · Clout Rationale
Select all data rows in your Sheet (skip the header), copy, paste below, and click Import. Duplicates are skipped automatically.
Phase 2 — Research a festival and import film results
After running the Prompt Generator for a festival, you'll get one combined TSV block. Here's the full workflow:
- In the Prompt Generator tab, select a festival and copy its prompt. Paste into a new Claude chat with web search enabled.
- Claude returns one TSV block with all 16 columns combined. Copy the data rows (skip the header).
- Optional — archive in Google Sheets: Open your workbook, add a tab named e.g. Sundance 2023, click A1, and paste. Row 1 → Bold · View → Freeze → 1 row.
Columns: Rank · Film Title · Director/Writer · Genre · Festival Year · Award · Distribution Status · Distributor · Clout Score · Clout Rationale · Contact Name · Position · Email · Contact Source · Screening Rights Note · Runtime (min) - Back in this tracker, click + Film on the festival row. Paste the same TSV rows into the import window and click Import Films. Films appear under that festival sorted by clout.
- Click the ▶ arrow on the festival row to see all imported films. Use the Edit button on each film to update Status, Contact, and Next Steps as your outreach progresses.
- Mark the festival Researched using the ✓ button.
